Request Data Deletion

You can request that we delete your account and associated data from COPD Fuel. This page explains how to request deletion and what we delete or keep.

Steps to request data deletion

Email us at support@copdfuel.com from the email address associated with your COPD Fuel account.
In the subject or body, state clearly that you want to delete your account or request data deletion.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner (e.g. by replying to that email).
We will process the deletion and remove your data as described below. We aim to complete this within 30 days and will send you a confirmation when done.

You can also request deletion from inside the COPD Fuel app: open Profile, then use Delete my account (if available). You will be asked to confirm before any data is removed.

What we delete

When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize:

Account information – Your email, name, and profile details.
Health and tracking data – Weight, medications, oxygen readings, exercise, food and nutrition, hydration, activity, goals, and any other data you entered in the app.
Links to healthcare providers – Any connection between your account and a doctor or practice.
Consent records – Records of what you agreed to share.

We also remove your account from our authentication system so you can no longer sign in.

What we may keep (and why)

We may retain limited information when required by law or by agreement with a healthcare provider, for example:

Records we must keep for legal, regulatory, or contractual reasons (e.g. under a Business Associate Agreement with a practice that received your data).
Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you.

If we retain anything, we will tell you in our confirmation message and explain why.

Additional retention period

We process deletion requests within 30 days. After we confirm deletion, your data has been removed from our active systems. Any permitted retention (as above) follows our data retention policy and applicable law.
